Psychoatomology

          ...understanding the law of balance in math, helps us to understand it in nature.
          There is another way besides math, to understand Nature--Observation.  Actually, this is how it all began, when a man named Democritus of ancient Greece, who lived between 470 and 380 B.C., inquired into the smallest particle of matter, or atomos, which is Greek for indivisible.  Through his observations, he philosophized that there must be one singular particle in which all matter was made out of.  This particular particle, he thought, was dense and basically compacted.   However, we've come to understand by our observations, that this smallest particle of matter that we have called the atom is not compacted at all, but is similar, although not exactly, to a solar system, as its parts occupies mostly empty space.  The electron was discovered by Joseph John Thompson in 1897; Ernest Rutherford discovered the proton in 1919; and in 1932, James Chadwick discovered the neutron.  These observations proved that even though the atom was not a compacted particle, it obeyed the all pervasive natural law of balance. 
          Now if we have discovered this "law of balance" in the smallest particle in nature, what is preventing us from finding this same "law of balance" within our psyche?  For as far as observing nature goes, if our mathematical theories do not coincide with our observations, that mathematical theory is incorrect, and if our mathematical theories and observations are incorrect, that makes US incorrect, for we cannot exclude our psychic interactions with matter from the equation.  Accordingly, we become out of balance because our thinking is out of balance.  As we persist in our "free radical" thought patterns, our environment inevitably soon follows, and it becomes out of balance.  The question is, "At what point do we get ourselves back to the drawing board to recalculate?"  For what we need to understand from our mechanical applications of mathematics, is its all-pervasive psychoatomic implications as well.  That is where this book comes in.  Perhaps it may be the nudge that will finally get us over the old way of thinking into the new, from the old cosmology of a mechanical universe into Psychoatomology. 
          Psychoatomology is primarily an introspective and observational science.   After all, mathematics and scientific observations, began with Mind inquiring into the tiniest particle of Matter.  It was Energy creating, if you will, new Software.  What we need now is the application of this new psychoatomic software to restore the balance that we and our environment so desperately needs, "for we, are the earth that is out of balance". 
          To become more acquainted with atoms, we would simply need to refer to The Periodic Table of the Elements.  In this Table we would find that the Hydrogen atom has one proton and one electron, the Helium atom has two protons and two electrons.  Likewise, the Lithium atom has three of each, and so on.  These atoms are known as Elements.  Elements, like those shown in this Table, are substances which cannot be broken down into a simpler form.  For example, a piece of Gold(Au).  If we should break down this element to its tiniest part, we would eventually wind up with one individual atom of Gold.
          Each of the atoms in this Periodic Table has exactly an equal amount of electrons that is the result of exactly that same amount of protons.  They are said to be neutral or balanced.  When two or more of these atoms bond together, it is called a Molecule.  Many, many of these molecules that are formed out of these elements, such as Copper(Cu) and Silver(Ag), become then, the substances that we can see and feel.
          In nature, there are elements, and there are compounds.  A compound is a combination of two or more elements.  Take for instance water.  Water is known as the substance that is the compound of Hydrogen(H), and of Oxygen(O).  One molecule of water has two atoms of Hydrogen and one atom of Oxygen, or H2O.  H2O is known as the chemical formula for the substance of water, and is one individual part of this substance.  Atoms that form what is called, Molecular Compounds, such as water, share electrons.  Atoms that form what is known as Ionic Compounds, such as Sodium(Na), and Chlorine(Cl), or Table Salt(NaCl), transfer electrons.  They are not made up of molecules but ions, "arranged in a crystalline structure". 
          When sodium chloride or salt is dissolved in water it becomes a good conductor of electricity.  It is necessary in the transmission of nerve impulses, and muscle contractions in animals.  Both water and salt are the basic ingredients of life; consequently, the Sea is the primary reason why life, here on earth, flourishes.  Balance, is the natural course, not only in atoms, but all of Nature.  It behooves US, therefore, to follow the Natural Course of All Things, and become psychoatomically balanced, for Nature is out of balance primarily because of US.  She will follow the natural course of things to restore herself, hence, violent storms and destructions, both natural and man-made, which will steadily increase, until we are once again balanced.
