About the Author
Angelena Nicole Aguilera was born on September 2, 1992 to an African American mother and a Mexican American father. Her love for poetry started at the early age of 10 years old. She was encouraged by her mother to put her thoughts down into poetry and so, thus the journey begins. Her poetry is unedited and is a bold and honest look at issues as seen through a young child coming of age.
