About the Author

Jeff Carreira is the Vice President of National Golf Schools and an accomplished PGA award winning teaching professional. Jeff is originally from Hadley, Massachusetts where he started his high school golf team and took them to the state championship his senior year. Jeff has finished in the top five twice out of the four Massachusetts state championships he has competed in. Jeff also played golf through college and later had a successful career on the North Atlantic Tour for two years. Jeff was assistant professional at the Hickory Ridge Country Club, Amherst Massachusetts for one year and then head golf professional at the Cherry Hill Golf Course, Amherst Massachusetts. Jeff joined the National Golf School team in the spring of 2004 and has since received the 2006 National Golf Schools teacher of the year award. Jeff has worked with many different levels of players including touring professionals, juniors and physically and visually challenged golfers. Jeff has also been the director of golf and lead teaching professional for the past four years for the City of Largo, Florida Junior Golf program which has grown to be one of the largest and most successful junior golf programs in Florida. He has a vast understanding of the golf swing and specializes in all aspects of the game including full swing, chipping, putting, pitching, bunkers and course management. Among his many accomplishments are appearances on ESPN, radio talk shows and has published articles in many golfing publications. Jeff was also Co-Author of the PGA Golf Professional Teaching Manual.
