About the Book

          My Mom Was my Dad is not just another book on parenting.  This book was written to help single mothers deal with raising boys.  Based on my life story of how I was raised in a single - parent home due to the death of my father, I wanted to take single mothers on a journey of what they will face as they try to raise a boy to a man.  I cover deep topics such as; the discussion of the bird’s and the bee’s, along with showing a young man how to pay bills and also about sports.  This book is much more than the average how-to-book on parenting.  Once I started to reminisce about my childhood, my memory overflowed with incidents and events long forgotten!  I started to laugh and shed a few tears at the same time when I decided to write this book about my mom and my childhood!  Readers may do the same as they walk with me through my first-hand accounts of my mom, Rena Johnson’s, humorous and sometime confusing job of making a Man out of a Boy!

About the Author

Christopher Johnson, born in Kansas City, Missouri now resides in Los Angeles, California. He is a world-renowned motivational/inspirational speaker.  He is also the author of the hugely successful book “Getting Dressed From The Inside” and the creator of the non-for profit organization called “Let Everybody Read” that is spearheading the push to get more book stores like Barnes and Noble and Borders to set anchor in low income areas to give people a choice of investing their money in knowledge!  Christopher is not a doctor or a pastor, but he is a real person without a title who can help anyone with a title! 

Christopher is currently on his way to being a New York Times Best Selling Author!  With 12 books to his credit in various stages of the publishing process My Mom Was My Dad is just one of the book’s Christopher has dedicated to helping parents (Single or Not) deal with the upbringing and insertion of a new human being into society.
