                The Wolf

At night, when the wind blows hard

in the mountains and valley below,

paw prints can always be found

in the freshly fallen snow.

The wolf searches for his mate

he'll stop and howl at the moon,

his voice sounds so mournful

that his heart must have a wound.

He will spend his entire life

in search of his one true love,

and I know that if he could pray

he'd ask help from the Lord above.

But pray he surely can not

so search he will always do,

yet, he will never know true love,

my darling, like me and you.
