About the Book

Ed’s marriage has broken down and he’s on the verge of divorce from his best friend and soul mate of over twenty years. He decides to get away for a week to clear his mind as the divorce proceedings near.

In Cyprus he desperately tries to find a storyline for his book and when he eventually decides on a romantic comedy plot, a real-life romance starts to unfold with a beautiful single mother of two, staying in the same Hotel.

This relationship takes Ed on a journey of self discovery and in the end a realization of what he truly wants in his life. He struggles to actually write the book he intended, but the experiences he has in sunny Cyprus, “the island of love” shape a different story. It is a story of fun and friendship; attraction and desire and ultimately undying love.

About the Author

Paul is in his mid forties, but with the mind of a 12 year old.... Not really!!

His mind is a bit older than that!!

But not much!!

He has all of his own teeth, which incidentally are just about the same age as him... On second thoughts one of his front teeth is actually a dental cap masking a hideous peg shaped fang... Still, nobody really knows about that so he thinks he's got away with it!!!

Throughout his life Paul has always enjoyed writing, but "Missing the Plot" is his first published book... His first, but hopefully not his last...

He is currently working on a second book about two mates that go on a mad weekend down to London to meet up with an East European beauty one of them has met on  an online dating site... Much alcohol is consumed, much sex is promised and typically NOT delivered!!

In the end all hell breaks loose - to the point were certain lives are put at risk...

Keep an eye out for "THE PLOT THICKENS" which should be out early next year!!

Paul would like to thank several of his friends and family have who helped create some of the characters in "Missing the Plot". However, most of the content is purely fictional...

He hopes that people enjoy reading it as much as he enjoyed the experience of writing it...
