The Invitation
An invitation was given to you and me
That forever we can be free
The table has already been prepared
Our Father awaits as the time grows near
All seats are good seats
And the foods are soulful treats
If the rich say no
Surely the unfortunate will go
Excuses something we are full of
For not showing God's agape love
So let none of us refuse God's invitation, which is free
For Heaven is the place I want all of us to be

About the Book
This part of the author's collections focus on Life and Death, for we were born to live and yet to die. It encourages its readers to live a God fearing life so that they can receive the rewards that God has in store for us in the end.
About the Author
Margie Scott Black was born March 29, 1965 to sharecropper parents. Being the youngest of 13 children, you learn very quickly how to trust in God. Margie graduated Needville High School in 1984. Margie married and divorce at an early age, leaving her to raise 3 beautiful daughters: Ashley Seawright, Nathalie Clayton and DeNa Clayton. Margie started writing poetry in the latter part of 1980's and has been writing since. She using her life experiences to relate to the everyday happening in life and expresses it in poetry. Margie enjoys basketball, football, writing, music and spending time with her husband Ed Collins Jr. and grandchildren D'Moria,Kamden.Darrin,Davion,Jonathan, Kaiden and Edwin Lee Collins IV
Margie would also like to say thank you to all who support and read her manuscripts, as well as those who movitated her to write each and every poem.
Special dedication to Dorthy Lee Scott (mother) and Raymond Scott Sr.(father) and Raymond Scott Jr. (brother), who's loving memories have been caught in poetry.
