About the Author
Jeannie graduated high school from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Since that time she has lived in numerous states including Texas, Colorado, and Montana. Currently Jeannie is teaching science at an elementary school in Dallas, Texas. Jeannie
has fi ve grandchildren, one whom is named Kai Joseph.
Jeane Wallace Whittenburg, author and illustrator, grew up in
Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She attended Christian (now Columbia) College
and the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO, where she majored in art.
She received her BS degree from Missouri Baptist College.
She is currently retired, living in St. Peters, MO, with her husband who
has recently retired. They have four children and six grandchildren.
