Do you really communicate?

Two mature--we'll not say elderly--marriage partners were sitting on their out-of-doors porch enjoying the cool of the early evening together.

The husband was listening to the chirps of the local crickets as they anticipated the sunset.

The wife was listening to the choir practice at the small church near their home.  The singing thrilled her being.  She smiled and said to her husband of many years,  "Dear, isn't that the most beautiful sound?  The music thrills me."

He replied in apparent agreeement, "Yes, indeed! And, to think they make that sound by rubbing their back legs together!" He sighed.

You aren't sighing--you are laughing!  Those two were together, but totally not communicating on the "same page."  A great percentage of married couples miss most of what their partner is saying--or thinking about--on a daily basis.

We Buy Our Wedding Rings

We noticed that the folks around us--and the same at our home--we all buy our wedding rings.  We didn't rent the rings thinking our marriages might not work out; we believed we would use them for life.  To begin gaining a better idea of the mental model, contrary to Hollywood promotions and show biz's throw away brides and grooms, and to make new paths in our thinking regarding marriage, we'll consider there is a reliable marriage model.  It can be difficult to find in real lives.

Model Marriage

The point of beginning serves as the building basis for the Model Marriage.  The Point of Interest that generated the meeting point really matters.  That starting point of a marriage relationship continues to impact the relationship.  The root basis for establishment continues to contribute--either to break down or build up--the relationship's fabric.  The vision that births any project motivates factors that keep or kill that purposed goal.  the questions to be answered are: What was the point of your beginning?  Where did you meet your spouse?  At what point in life did you meet each other?

Is yours a shopper marriage--like purchasing an automobile?

What priority did you set for your marriage?  Did you set any?

Consider what goals your have set for your family.  Mostly individuals make selfish goals as things happen along the way.  Are these goals written down?  Do you know where the note is?

Some marriages operate in the same way a pawn shop does.  Pawn shops are a business where exchanges take place.  Some exchange their old items for new things.  Some exchange for money, but most of the items found are materials that have been used.  Some even put their marriage relationship on layaway.
