The Death of Me/ How will I be remembered?/ Will you remember/ Self inflicted wounds/ Vomit on my face passed out from things put into my system/ Or will you simply see the bruises left from an abuser/ Of flash back to a girl in lust with the same sex/ My mind is the battlefield/ I was losing ground/ Seeds in my womb up rooted placed in hazardous bags to be thrown out discarded/ Regardless of my belief I was being drowned in the deepest of deepest seas/ Thinking it was a dream when the mouth of God opened up to say/ My bare feet walked your shoes/ I sacrificed this all for you/ Scars on My back bleed like cuts on your wrist/ It’s a struggle but no longer are you this/ No longer are you this/ My shame He has changed/ My blame He has erased/ With much apologies I found my way/ My Lord, it’s the death of me/ Failed attempts at suicide cause physically it wasn’t my time to die/ My mind and soul needed to be crucified/ His peace exists only to keep us from this/ We choose to look away make the change take His embrace/ By choice or unexpected situations we placed in/ Not needing to remain in/ So reframe from thinking that this is your only way/ So in closing I’ll recite to you my eulogy/ Here now hangs a lonely, empty, angry, addicted, self-mutilator/ Once so cold I was losing my life/ But to day is time I say goodbye/ Thinking it was a dream when the mouth of God opened up to say/ My bare feet walked your shoe/ I sacrificed this all for you / Scars on My back bleed like cuts on your wrist/ It’s a struggle but no longer are you this/ No longer are you this/ My shame He has changed/ My blame He has erased/ With much apologies I found my way/ My lord, it’s the death of me/ With my arms stretched out I take my last breath and die/ Leaving behind what was but not what is to come/ The death of me/ The death of me/ My Lord, it’s the death of me/

About the Book
The Death of Me: A New Creation, is an introduction to the power of Christ and the transforming work He has done in my life. Using poetry, illustrations, and short passages I give a glimpse into what the God I serve has done for me. Chains of all kinds can be broken by the hands of God and the chains that held me are no more. Christ has truly set us free! Galatians 5:1. Be encourage and stay bless.
About the Author
I am a daughter, wife, mother and friend wanting to expose the Truth, the Truth (being God) in my life. I am learning that I must give God all of me to be used as an instrument for His kingdom. I cannot change my past, so with this book I have written my love story and with any story, there is a getting to know each other. Pain and joy also come along for the ride. I have also incorporated pieces of my husband’s story using poetry, illustration and short passages. You will see two separate struggles both with the physical and spiritual hang-ups. Hang-ups such as anger, masturbation, molestation, and fornication. Other issues like homosexuality, suicide and choosing wrong relationships. We had to learn how to overcome these struggles or let them destroy our future. Spiritually, our most inner being is longing and needing something more than these temporary medications we give. I hope that the mercy of God will be shown, also the grace and the endless love He wants to give. God desires to be our best friend. He is the One that will be there through it all. Thank you for taking the time to walk with me through this journey.
