This Daughters Prayer
Mother of mine how I will miss you every waking day
I curse the day that god plans to take you away
I will miss your warm hands and the talks we use to have
I will miss the times when words we didn't need
and hope my love from heaven you will always see
I wish I had more time to say how much I love you so
but I'll never get the chance because your mind has already let go
I want your memories to come back new and happy still
yet I know that they unfortunately can't and never will
if only you could remember how much I really care
i might not feel so sad and I might not be so scared
my mother I will miss you so and need you all the same
I hope in heaven you'll remember my love
and me your daughter's name

ANGRY WORDS
Hot, hateful, words I hope you didn't mean
regretted instantly, but unstoppalbe all the same
why did I ever allow you to create such a scene
their impact revealed by my broken heart and sighs,
a look of surprise, and anguish from the inside
why is it that I don't argue, instead I just cry
Destroying my trust in your ability
to keep me safe, loved and protected
why should I accept your apology for your insensitivity
no matter how you might wish it to be otherwise
you know my heart is forever scared by your anger
from your uttered words I now despise.

About the Book
This book is a collection of poetry that I have written over the years that deal with love, life and hardships. As well as a few that fill the spirit when lost or empty. I have been writing since I was ten years old. The fullfilment I get from writing grows as the years pass by and I hope to bring to my readers a light at the end of their tunnel.
About the Author
I am 44 years old, I have two children and three grandchildren with one more on the way. I live in the bay area and have for three years. I was born in Redding Ca and lived there most of my life. I have been writing poetry since I was ten years old. I love the outdoors and all it brings and find solitude in the simple things in life. Family and friends are very important to me and we should all love and spend as much time together as we can because time is one thing we can't get back nor do we have a lot of.
