About the Book

The Princess and Storm is a true story based on a stray mixed-breed Rhodesian Ridgeback coming to live at the home of Princess, College Cat, after she had been the only pet in the house for six years.  All pictures in the book are actual photos of Princess, Storm, the wildlife and the surroundings at their home.

“Six years after being a College Cat, I am now just called Princess and still living at the Garry’s home.  It is my home now and I feel very much a part of the family.  I enjoy being spoiled and pampered.  I love the daily brushings Dad gives me and still enjoy sleeping with him and Mom.

But on President’s Day, February 2003 everything changed.  The life I had become accustomed to was turned upside down.”

About the Author

J. William “Bill” Garry, Jr. was born in Kingston, New York and raised in Kennebunk, Maine.  He now lives in Manassas, Virginia.  Bill spent thirty years in commercial banking.  He has always loved animals and one day decided to write a book about their cat, Princess Pansy Pi, titled College Cat.  They had her six years before Storm, a stray mixed-breed, Rhodesian Ridgeback came into their neighborhood and home to live.  This led him to write this book about the initial impact Storm made on Princess’ and the family’s life and how life evolved for Princess after a period of time.

Actual pictures of the author’s property, Princess, Storm, and wildlife were used in this book.
