I Relived My Nightmare from Hell

AGORAPHOBIA

Now in this section, I would like to focus on the agoraphobia that kept me housebound for twenty-five years before I got good therapy that set me on the road to recovery. In the beginning, I was still going to the doctor, who fed me different kinds of tranquilizers. I was under his so-called care for twelve long years. No sense going back with regrets, but I sure did learn a valuable lesson. Then, on one visit, my sister came along with me. She saw the way the situation was and suggested that I see a new doctor.

Soon after, a friend of mine who worked at the psychiatric center advised me to go there as an outpatient for treatment.

SOMEONE SPECIAL

I met a wonderful person a few years ago,

She steered me in the right direction when my life was at a low.

To me, she is very unique in so many ways,

And her warmth reaches all like the sun’s rays.

I never knew someone like her before,

Because she has a way to make your spirits soar.

To everyone she meets, she becomes a dear friend,

And a helping hand she is never too busy to lend.

Those who are in need, she is around every day,

And her guidance and care will show them the right way.

In her work, many hearts she has won,

Because she is always doing something nice for someone.

Sometimes her own problems will get her down,

But she wears a smile when it should be a frown.

A more jolly person one could never find,

And to me, she will always be one of a kind.

This was the turning point in my recovery.
