It was originally written because she could find no books or gifts celebrating the name Kajsa. But the reaction of her adult friends to this book about a child working through insecurities as the new baby takes her place as the youngest in the family, made Sandi watch Kajsa more closely and see, first hand, the potentially painful transition to middle child. Kajsa, explores the fantacy of staying a little baby and having all her needs met by her family. But life takes a surprising turn when her wishes come true with a painful twist. Her paraents and her confidente, Irish the Cat, are there to help Kajsa grow in confidence as she learns that the place she holds in her family is perfect for her.
