Granddaughters & Softball

To all throughout the world who have girls who love the game of softball and begin at young ages to make their coaches, parents, teammates, friends and grandparents so proud of their accomplishments.    Especially to the parents and grandparents! 

This must be considered a completely visualized account of a 12 year old granddaughter pitcher which may or may not be purely coincidental to our own twelve year old pitcher.  Who could have the audacity to hope that their little twelve year old might have the talent and dedication to go through all levels of the softball wars and survive to become a member of the 2016 USA Olympic team? 

So all the players of 2008 Team Softball USA did that.  Weren’t they quite exceptional?  I would have to agree that those were exceptional girls and probably were even at the age of 12.  A good friend tells me it would be like the odds of having a meteor drop on you? Perhaps?  None of the 2008 Team USA ever met a meteor.  Some twelve year olds will make the 2016 Olympic softball team.  As others might ask: Why not our little girl?
