Letting Myself Down Have I let myself down? I apologize for not paying attention to you. I put others first before myself Found no wrong in doing so. Although I have faced many trials and tribulations When others judge, I found no place to. Feeling my way through the dark Realizing there was no answer. I apologize for not paying attention to you. Caring for those who did not care back My happiness is seeing others happy.

Sonja Lynn Dixon is a native of Houston, Texas; and the mother of four beautiful daughters. She’s currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Management Administration, and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the National Honor Society. She continues to diligently breathe life into her poetry tabloid titled Poetry X-Press, and initiates a journey to writing her second book. Embrace her writings as she escape into a world that no longer exists for her.
