Fly-By
As I lay on my back, looking up at the sky,
I heard a duck quack as it did a fl y-by.
First there was one. Th en there were two.
Gliding in the sun, one sneezed, Ha-chew!
I felt a drop of goop that fell from midair.
I don’t think it’s poop, but it’s in my hair.
At the Cafe´
At the cafe´,
I sit down to read.
Drinking my latte
Is just what I need.
Now I’m inspired
As I drink from my mug.
Buzzed and wired,
I spill it on the rug.
I scamper and pat
Th e cafe´ rug dry,
Lowering my hat,
Embarrassed and shy.
People are looking at me;
I begin to shrink.
Perhaps this should be
My very last drink.
Worm’s Delight
A worm’s delight is in the mud
In a vegetable garden by a spud.
Creeping and crawling in the ground,
Under the dirt, there is no sound.
Plucked by fate out of the ground.
A bird is happy with what she found.
Th e worm wiggles. Th e bird burps.
Th e fi nal sounds heard are little chirps.
Chuck
I started thinking it was just my luck
Because I was hungry, and I saw a duck.
Though I’m no hunter, I started to pluck.
Sadly, the little guy started to cluck.
To conclude,
I wish I had some vegetarian food.
The duck? I named him Chuck.

• Back Surgery and Diagnosed w/ Mental Illness.
• Gave birth to my son in July of 2008

This book represents learning, striving, and personal growth, It becomes developmental trophy. As I have struggled with ADD, Schizo-Effective Disorder and Dyslexia. In writing as well as reading my poetry I've found my imagination, abounds, with endless array of subject matter. I found depth in all that life has to offer. Even the smallest of things deserve the best words I can mustar. There are a few goals I had in mind when deciding to publish of my book of poetry, 1) It's to inspire people to be the best they can be regardless of your situation. 2) It's to give people a chance to see poetry in a different light, perhaps inspire new or seasoned writers.
