What We Left Behind
As the armies of the world
get bigger as more fingers
learn how to pull the trigger.
As each Palestinian soul is taken by a tank
Another youth in Britain
learns how to use a shank.
As words are turned into weapons of war.
And more breddas are going to
pen for breaking the law.
I just wanna know
How did we end up here?
and what are we now living for?
As the clock ticks the tune of time
Is it possible that
we have left the best of us behind..
OUR MINDS.
