About the Book

Young pilot Owen Crunch is exploring the moons of the newly discovered planet Zebulon. The moons are teeming with strange wildlife, and it is becoming stranger. Alien animals are being transformed—their body parts mixed into new combinations—and the phenomenon has reached Earth. A scientist has been affected. If she’s ever to become human again, Owen must traverse the thousands of moons to find her missing half. As he copes with zero gravity and bad food, he also faces hostile creatures ready to trample, dissolve and eat him. His search leads to a terrifying secret, stretching across the moons to Earth itself, lurking deep within the giant Zebulon.

About the Author

John Michael Meyer has been plotting adventures all his life, from childhood play with G.I. Joes to creating exhibits at Chicago’s museums. His writing draws on favorite memories from his youth, including the Apollo moon landings, Star Trek and the quantum mechanics he studied in college. His undergraduate degree is in physics.

John is a professional designer who works in healthcare, but his first attraction to design was making toys. He has created many Star Wars ships and bases for his nephews using empty plastic bottles and containers. The Moons of Zebulon started as an idea for toys but then took on a life of its own. John sought to write the kind of story that he and his nephews would love, with lots of action, iconic characters and offbeat humor. He is inspired and encouraged by his wife, artist Heather Hug.
