Alice took a deep breath. “Sir, I believe firmly that Tyler Jackson will seek legal counsel if we attempt to keep him either here or in any mental institution after his eighteenth birthday.” She was making that part up, but from the way he had talked to her, she was sure it was true. “All you have to do is schedule the hearing. I will do all the prep work.”
“You bet you will do the prep work, doctor! Do you have any idea what you are getting into? A sanity board would expect a full workup - Rorschach test, Freudian Word Association test...
“Kraepelin test for dementia praecox, a complete physical examination to preclude etiological pathological anatomy,” Alice interrupted. “Yes sir, I am familiar with the necessary process.”
Henderson was impressed but he did not want to show it. He paused for a moment, looking at her carefully. All at once, it was like an idea suddenly occurred to him, and a strange look of satisfaction appeared on his face. He nodded his head and said to her, “Okay, doctor, I will schedule your hearing. I will call in Dr. Brownstone at White Haven and Dr. Erickson over at Philadelphia Central and see how soon they could be available.”
Alice acknowledged with a head nod and stood up and started for the door. She stopped and turned and asked the director, “Sir, you only mentioned two psychiatrists for the hearing. Legally, three are required. Who will be the third?”
Dr. Henderson gave her a cold stare and answered, “Me.”

About the Author
Larry Stout, MBA, Ph.D., has a unique portfolio. He is an international business trainer in leadership development. He lived for sixteen years in Eastern Europe, where he was associate professor of business psychology for the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, Latvia.
He has written two books on leadership that have been bestsellers in Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, India, and other developing nations. Currently Dr. Stout conducts training on four continents as head of the HRM Department for IBR, Institute of International Business Relations, Steinbeis University, Berlin.
Dr. Stout has actively worked for the past two decades to promote the development of Christian leaders in many countries. He has help plant seven churches in several countries, is one of the founders of the Baltic Reformed Theological Seminary, and also assisted with the Baltic Pastoral Institute, both located in Riga, Latvia. He currently serves on the leadership team of Citychurch in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Larry Stout has been married for thirty-five years to his childhood sweetheart, Debbie. They have four grown children and currently reside in Montgomery, Pennsylvania.
