About the Author
Pete Dube was the vice president of the Federation of Quebec's Outfitters for the lower St-Lawrence and the Gaspe, and was also director of the Quebec Fauna Group. Always an avid sport fisherman and lover of the outdoors, the author has guided and outfitted for over forty five years. Being the present owner of Quebec's oldest same family outfitter, Motel Restigouche Outfitters in Matapedia. The author was influenced from early childhood by his father and the late John Paul Dube, noted author and conservationist, was Pete's ally and mentor. No other person knows and respect the rivers more than the author. Pete was the founding vice president of the Richard Adams Foundation, director of the Quebec Salmon Federation, vice president of the Chamber of Commerce for the Matapedia sector and founding president of the Society of Operation of the Matapedia and the Restigouche River Basins. The author is a master spey caster, a reputable fly tier, a genuinely dedicated Salmon Conservationist and accomplished outdoorsman. He lives in Matapedia, Quebec, at the confluent of the world prestigious Restigouche River he so dearly loves.
