About the Book
Frank's Rules will make your life in sales easier and more prosperous in income. The anecdotal stories are rich, colorful and applicable to living and working successfully.
The underlying principles herein, although coming from Frank's menswear experience, apply to being professionally prepared for whatever you do.
After all, you are selling all the time: you sell your lover on having a lasting relationship; you sell your children on getting good grades, not doing drugs, being good citizens and having good values. You sell your company on viewing you as an asset to their business. You even sell the waiter on getting you a choice table. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you are selling as long as you are living in this world!
Frank's Rules are meant to be 'broken:' that is, the reader takes the information and utilizes it in his or her own way to the ultimate best of their ability. That means learn more and earn more!
"I write with a voice that resonates with my selling presentation audiences because I bring a sense of passion and joy with a serious responsibility to refining and making a person's sales career easier with practical and proven applications. Did you ever notice how the successful sellers seem happier than the bottom crowd who often complain about their work?"
"In retail and wholesale, I have spent a lifetime hearing the winners and the whiners. Believe me, the winners just did their preparation and stayed on point even in difficult times while the whiners just wallowed in their unprepared, 'pass the blame' world."
As the late great comic, George Carlin advised: "Stay away from the whiners..........they only take you down"
About the Author
Frank Schipani is the former Head of Sales Training for the Hugo Boss / USA fashion company. He began his training career in a previous role for Giorgio Armani Collezioni as the Director of Retail Development. In both roles, he trained company associates on all products, the art of selling presentations and conducted sales workshops for managers and sellers of major clients nationwide. A workshop, in his sensibility, is where all participants share and learn in an easy, educational environment that is entertaining. He believes you learn best when having some fun.
He is widely endorsed by such companies as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Salvatore Ferragamo, Cole-Haan, Bloomingdales and top independents across the country.
He is the founder and President of The Schipani Group, a professional sales training and consulting organization for both retail and wholesale companies.
He is a published author of many trade articles on selling and consumer driven essays. Frank's Rules is his first book on professional selling. This book communicates unlike other 'sales' books, in that Frank places himself right on the selling floor with the seller. It shares techniques and formulas which allow the reader to take away ideas and put them to use the very day they read the book.
You will feel his passion which runs very deep for professional selling and not just providing service! Frank states: "We live in a time when consumers need much more than service. They need a warm, hospitable individual to address their needs in a highly informed and sincere way."
Frank lives in Stamford, CT with his wife Karen and family. He is equally passionate about his cooking and photography as he is for fashion. Some years back, Frank taught Modern Italian Cooking at several top cooking schools in Connecticut.
