INTENT vs. IMPACT
Life is a process of learning, growing and changing. Many times we have heard people say “that is not what I meant or I didn’t intend for it to be this way.” We know through experience that we often get what we didn’t intend to. This is a clue that you should examine more fully what you are doing. What are you attracting to yourself that keeps you getting the same undesired results? It has been said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. We think that if we want it badly enough and keep at it long enough it will eventually occur. This is contrary to universal law. The
Realize it is not your desires that are misplaced, but the way in which you achieve your desires. The formula you are using to get things to come around to your way of thinking needs to be examined. If your impact and outcomes are far different than your intentions, you definitely need to look at your intending process, and what is it that you need to adjust for your intentions to manifest correctly.
Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary. Then ask yourself, and yourself alone, one question . . . Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn't. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you.

GETTING WHAT YOU WANT
~ From the beginning to the end, no one but you ~
This is a formula for practicing active intending. It is a formula that you can utilize to actively begin practicing your intentions.
· Create a list of specific intentions you desire for your life – It can be as simple as I intend for a new pair of size 10 shoes.
· Read aloud your intentions every day. Your intentions may be as follows: I intend that I am joyful and happy. I intend that I am in perfect health. I intend that I am always guided, guarded, and protected. I intend that peace and love follow me always.
You may want to include several of your personality traits in this process, depending on what is happening in your life. Remember to examine your language when you begin the intention process. Never use words such as hope, as this leaves you in a state of hope rather than expectation. Alleviate words such as want. Wanting leaves you in a state of lacking something rather than the state of expectation. Look at your intent and the feelings which you are attaching to this process.
