About the Author

She spent the last 20 years of her adult life as a Clinical Psychologist with two undergraduate degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Social Work from Moravian and Cedar Crest Colleges, respectively. After getting her feet wet in the field for a few years, the hallowed halls of academia beckoned once again, and she pursued her Master's in Pastoral Counseling at Moravian Theological Seminary. At age 39 she decided to do something "different" so she earned a certificate in radio broadcasting. However, no matter what road she walked on, her one true love, writing, beat inside her like a drum or heartbeat. Ever since scribbling sing-song rhyming poems about love and nature at age eight, giving them to family as gifts and entering poetry contests, winning honorable mentions and being published in large anthologies in late High School, she knew she woul dbe a writer - someday. She wrote often in journals, diaries, notes, cards, songs, you name it. Finally, two years ago she started and completed her first real project, a Christmas gift for her nephews, written and illustrated by her. It was a "hit" so-to-speak, and she wondered from where her next stroke of inspiration would come. One day, she was chatting online with a dear friend from Kindergarten who happened to mention that she kept her son home from school because he was getting sick. The rest is history!
