About the Book
Every year the librarian wants to tell the children how sad she gets when one of her friends is damaged by common accidents to books. She lets seven books tell their story of how their lives changed when they were returned damaged. The book was reviewed with the comment: “While the pictures are colorful and reflect the text, they are childlike. This book will be a welcomed addition for librarians who want their patrons to know the importance of keeping books healthy. It is a learning tool for the young and a precautionary lesson for teachers and parents who borrow books for their children. RECOMMENDED.” (Library Media Connection, March/April 2011).
