“Sometimes, when I’m praying, I’ll be making suggestions to God. “You know, Lord, if he would get caught doing such and such, then the truth would come out.” Or, “Father if you would just allow this to happen when she is doing such and such, then maybe she couldn’t continue in the lies.”
And then I hear God clear His throat. . .
For instance, we had a situation in which a person had hurt our family, and was continuing to create heartache for us. He lied about what he’d been doing, and tried to blame a family member, saying she was the one with the problem. Sound familiar? I thought about this - a lot. Then, I prayed that the person would repeat one of their bad behaviors and get caught in the act. As I was praying, I clearly heard God clear His throat:
“Agghhemm, Child.”
“But, God, I’m not finished yet. I have a few more ideas.”

About the Author
Debby Paine has published 2 earlier books on Hope, and her first children’s book., “Lamb’s Lullaby.” She and her husband, Phil, married 41 years, have 3 children and 4 grandsons. Their home is in the beautiful Highland mountains near West Point, NY, overlooking the Hudson River.
Debby is an author, poet, playright, lyricist, producer, speaker and storyteller.
