Jake's Journey tells of a boy who found a secret braclet that was going to change his life forever
"It was then that Jake noticed there were some words etched in the gold. He couldn't make them out at first—all he could see were the words ‘light’…‘darkness’…‘cannot’…‘out’. It sounded a little like a promise, and somewhere in the depths of Jake’s mind he thought he knew the words. He did not know what to do about the bracelet so he threw it onto the desk. It landed on top of a book. As it landed, the red stone began to glow and get brighter and brighter. Jake could not take his eyes from it. Slowly, he crawled along the bed, and looked at the book and the bracelet.
The book was one which he had brought from home. It had been given to him by his grandmother. She called it, ‘God’s Book of Promises and Adventures.’ He had looked at it very often and read quite a bit of it. It was full of exciting adventures but his grandmother had told him that the book was special, and the promises in it were still true today. She told him that it was the ‘Book of Life’.

About the Book
Jake's Journey is a story about a boy, his dog, Pjay and an unforgettable adventure during a holiday to Cornwall. One day walking along a beach after a ferocious storm Pjay unearths a bracelet. Little does Jake know that this bracelet will lead him on a life changing journey back in time when a certain man shared a message of hope, love and life changing results. On his journey Jake will meet people who had their lives changed when they listened to the words of the man from Galiee and the mysterious bracelet will reveal something special about the quest.
About the Author
Paul Caine loves to tell stories. All his life storytelling has been important.This found its roots in stories his grandmother would tell him as a child. Later on as a primary school teacher Paul loved those moments at the close of a school day where he could sit the children down in a circle and tell a story. “The imagination is a powerful gift” said Paul. In his job working for the Seedlings Trust Paul has the opportunity of speaking to over 2000 children each week in assemblies about God's love for them and his purpose for their lives. He believes children are important to God.
