Hearing My Heart

About the Book

I enjoy writing poetry from the heart. Some are about friends and relatives and others about experiences. All true to life.  My friends always enjoy hearing my poems and encourage my writing.  Hope they will be inspirational to others. 

About the Author

She was born in Edgefield, SC and grew up there. She had one sister, Elizabeth. Her parents were Lillian Wood and Henry Hair. Her father died when she was nine years old and her mother married again when she was fifteen years old. Growing up, she took piano lessons and was involved in school activities.  After graduation, she went to work at Camp Gordon, Georgia at Civilian Personnel Headquarters. She studied voice and always enjoyed singing.  She married her husband Ernest Jovanelly January 26, 1946 and moved to Columbia, South Carolina where she still resides.  They have been blessed with four children (one daughter deceased), six grandchildren and five great-grand children.  She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
