About the Book
In the story of Little Tree children will learn about emotions, ambition, disappointment, patience and joy. Little Tree experiences all of these as she tries so hard to become a Big Tree and grow fruit. The book is a good first reader or a read-to story for children ages 3 to 12.
About the Author
Little Tree is the second children's book authored by Ann Babel. She is the mother of four adult children and grandmother to 20 month old, Wyatt. Ann is a pastor's wife and has many years of experience working with children. She has always encouraged reading to and by children. Ann lives in Virginia with her husband, Ernie.
ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
Lauren Hall Smith is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Art Education and a minor in Religious Studies. As a 12 year old she wrote a letter to her future self demanding of herself that by age 25 she had better have illustrated a children's book. Accomplishing this at age 23 is a joy for which Lauren thanks her Heavenly Father. Her beautiful artwork demonstrates her gift and talent. Lauren resides in Richmond, VA with her awesome and talented husband. Her prayer is that God be glorified through this book.
