You first met Moxie, the sassy cat, in the "Goober" book. Moxie returns to answer the question: "Can cats and dogs get along?" Who is stronger? Who is smarter? Who can catch the most fish? Follow Moxie, Minnie, Harley and Goober to see if cats and dogs can be friends!

About the Author

The author lives on the North Carolina coast. This is her fourth book in the "Harley" series. Her book of essays, "Blue Hair and City Bound" was published in 2004, taking her readers through the comedic side of her life. She looks forward to starting the sequel and continuing with the "Harley" series.

I have written numerous newspaper articles and a column prior to writing my first children's book, "Harley." Three books have followed in the series - "Harley In The Doghouse" - "Goober" - and the about-to-be released "Moxie." Another book of essays has also been published - "Blue Hair and City Bound" - a collection of comedic essays related to my life. My first magazine article is about to be published. Books were my best friends as a lonely child and have continued to be so. Having my writings published has been the most rewarding experience of my lifetime. Each day brings a new and positive connection and working with children and helping them to write their own first book has been an amazing adventure. I live on the North Carolina coast and have a home in the beautiful North Carolina mountains, where I do most of my writing. I do have the best of both worlds.
