About the Author

Phil Emerson has traveled throughout the western United States in his quest to photograph nature in natural settings. His patience and perseverance is evident.

Phil began filming in Colorado, and has filmed Golden Eagles in California and Idaho, tracked mountain lion in the Idaho primitive area and lived with the Blackfeet Indians in Montana, while filming bighorn sheep and mountain goat in Glacier National Park.

He was inspired to write poetry which relates to the photographs he has taken.
