Prologue
Brie woke in a sweat. Who was that screaming? Her mind was racing to place the sound. Then she felt, the breeze. Her pulse quickened and sent her heart into a frenzy. Brie knew that her window had been closed when she went to bed. The sweat on her body was enough to know it was her screams that woke her. She had been dreaming again. Would the nightmares ever stop? She had seen him. He looked right at her while feeding from a human’s neck. Reluctantly, Brie got up, she needed to clear her head. Why did he come to her in her almost nightly? He was the most beautiful man she had ever seen, he had hair as black as a raven’s wing, his eyes were so cold, that it sent shiver’s down her spine when he looked at her. Raw dangerous power rippled over his body. He was, what every woman would dream of, but he was not real, he was her nightmare. Besides, there was no way for a man like that to exist. Brie had just turned thirty-three, she had a successful business and was happy, until she went to sleep. She could feel a darkness pulling at her, but did not understand if it were her life or his pain that she felt. Brie could feel his thirst, his need, his appetite for her. He must claim her soon or no one would be safe. Brie was his, for eternity.

About the Author
Trishia Gibson is always involved in an adventure of some kind. This year, she fulfilled her life long dream of writing. Also this year she started a paranormal group, called Cemetery Dolls, that has turned into a successful monthly meeting. Trishia's hobbies are photography, scuba-diving, and many others. She has a loving husband and two children that her world revolves around, as well as a menagerie of pets — she also rescues animals to find them homes.
