About the Book

Viet Nam changed all of us. Some for the good, some for the bad. I would like to think that I changed for the good. Love and war, the heartbreaks and reality. Everyone remembers their first true love. Does that burning ember ever completely go out? Do you ever wonder where life has taken them? This book is about two people who were deeply in love in the early 60's, when times were innocent and how war and circumstances changed the directions their lives took. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and maybe you'll see some of yourself in their story.

About the Author

Dr. Bob Steele D.C. was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1943, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama in 1962, USAF 1962-1966, Palmer Chiropractic College1966-1970, played on the Palmer Rugby team 1967-1969, married Lani Leon of Washington Iowa in 1970, He has been in active Chiropractic practice since 1970, seeing many thousands of patients over the years. With Chiropractic being his main passion, Bob has found time, to the amazement of his friends and patients, to venture into acting and directing community theatre, Scuba diving, art, pottery, photography, Street Rod and Sport Car building and designing, grass fed beef farming, and now writing, all while maintaining a full time practice. He has been the anchor his patients have held onto for over forty years. As he says Dr. Williams told me long ago, "No one can anchor to an unanchored mind." His life long belief is that life is not a spectator sport; you have to participate, and leave this planet a better place for your having been here.
