About the Book
Little Gregory tells the story of a brother and sister who were taken from their mother and placed in the foster care system. Based on a true story, it shares the siblings’ experiences with foster homes and families. They discover how much they meant to each other despite being in different foster homes at times. Little Gregory shows how important foster parents are to children in need of them and how families extend further than biological connections.
About the Author
Melissa A. Bradex, M.Ed., resides in Bakersfield, California with husband Heath as they raise 5 children. Three of the children are their own and two are extended family members. Melissa and her little brother Gregory were placed in the foster care system at a young age. Melissa’s childhood experiences led to her and her husband being foster parents since 1998. Melissa has been an elementary school teacher since 2000. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts at California State University of Bakersfield and obtained her Masters in the Art of Education.
About the illustrator
Eddie Crane resides in Shafter, California with his wife Dora and their 2 children. He has been drawing since he was five years old. His main interest was comic books for a period of time. He likes to use his artwork in his classroom as well. He has been teaching since 2000. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts at California State University of Bakersfield.
