WHAT MORE CAN A GRANDPA SAY
The child who fills me full of joy.
The days are passing by.
She slowly moves toward
The woman there, inside.
I’m left behind.
I feel a tear upon my cheek,
I reminisce, I cannot speak.
As Pluto smiled at me today,
I felt your childhood fade away.
You and Pluto what a team
Drift away in a childhood dream.
Those golden days, what more to say,
Those magic moments in your mind
OH THE FUN!! WHAT A TIME.
As the years are passing by,
As I wander down my road.
I will be proud of you.
Because I know, the woman there inside.
Her beauty to behold,
A loving mother,
Heart of gold.
Kindness and a gentle way.
What more can a grandpa say?

About the Author
Don was born in Toronto and moved to London Ontario at about 16 yrs old. He has been married for 50 years and has 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He enjoys playing video games, writing poetry, travelling and Disneyland.
