About the Author
About the Illustrator Chris Rhodes I live in the Cotswolds with my son; it is a beautiful area and is the inspiration for a lot of my artistic work, which covers many forms from oil painting through to photography. The pen and ink drawings you see in this book are a response to Carol's beautiful poems each one has been drawn to show a particular part or area of the poetry and they vary in their style. It was also nice to design and paint a watercolour front cover to go with Carol's great title. I would like to thank her for giving me the opportunity to do the illustrations and we both hope you enjoy the book. ~ About the Author Carol Paxton I live in the Cotswolds with my three children, who give me a lot of inspiration for my writing. I love writing poetry, as it is both relaxing and rewarding. Chris and I met at a tabletop sale and we got talking, he happened to mention that he did a lot of drawing. lbis got us both thinking how would the two go together. What a perfect combination. His pictures give character to my poems and my poems give his pictures a story. Our book was born. I have really enjoyed working with Chris and like to thank him for his brilliant sketches and effort, he has put into this book. We found having a good sense of humour is an added bonus!
