About the Book

Diane Pellicciotti Kone weaves an electrifying web of intrigue and suspense, carrying  the reader on a thrilling adventure from the tranquil, serene splendor of the Finger Lakes Region of Central New York to the squalid, sordid streets of East Harlem.

Susan Johnson’s fatal death is shockingly proclaimed a "homicide". The popular, kind hearted teacher, still mourning the loss of her child, somehow becomes linked to gang members, drug dealers and prostitutes. A strong- minded, veteran police detective, Jason Greene, and a young, hot-headed prosecuting attorney, Michael Giannelli, try desperately to fit the pieces together to solve the baffling puzzle.

A flood of executions and an attempted assault are labeled, The Case of the Dirt Bag Murders. But, how does Susan Johnson play a part in the grisly scenario? Greene goes on a fierce search for clues that will connect Susan to the gruesome killings, followed by a fiery pursuit of the Revenge Seeker. The crucial turning point features a surprise witness, who ultimately shatters the defense for Jesus Moreno, king of the “Harlem Neta’s,” a Latino street gang.

The Revenge Seeker leaves you on the edge of your seat as the plot unravels and thickens. A page turner, it is bursting with attention-grabbing characters and a gripping and compelling tale of lost love, reunions, conspiracy, and spellbinding adventures. The reader becomes captivated with how the lives of Susan and a young Puerto Rican girl, Manuela Moreno become intertwined and tangled in a most unusual way, bonding them together in life and again in death. The bizarre road that they travel together instigates a gale of anger, hatred, and sin, all  meshed collectively in the midst of love, kindness and compassion.

The final pages of this poignant saga venerate Susan and Manuela through an unexpected, touching and heart-rending set of events.
