About the Book
There is a saying that a man’s home is his castle. Another saying says that the home is where the heart is. The American Dream is supposedly home ownership.
If all these sayings are true, then what does a family do when the home is foreclosed and the family is evicted from it?
If the castle is gone, and the heart is crushed, and the dream has vanished, where are you supposed to go, and how are you supposed to live? How do you cope with this kind of loss mentally, physically, and spiritually?
In April of 2008, the Smith family was an early casualty in what has since become a global recession, marked by an unprecedented number of home foreclosures. This is their story: how they lived, how they persevered, and how they kept their faith in God that He would not leave them or forsake them.
