"Christian, things are not adding up. It is the new technology I am working on for the Defense Science Office. I was making real breakthroughs the week before I left the States for a brief skiing vacation. I am into some really exciting stuff. Some French guy with a lizard tattoo on his right forearm was just here when I awoke up. I think he was a priest; he was just standing by my bed and muttered something in French. You know me and languages. I think he said, 'Your work is evil.' He left before I could find out what he meant. I am not feeling very well since supper. I am fearful I will not see you again. I know every technology has embedded spiritual consequences, but this time things are different. I am doing what I thought was right for our country. I am putting the sun in a box. Now, I fear my discoveries have been shaping my soul. Pray for me."

About the Author
William Jeffries is an international consultant and trusted executive coach, who works with prominent business and political leaders in over twenty countries. A prolific writer, he has written several books on leadership, business high performance, psychology, team building, and personal mastery, as well as other novels set in Southeast Asia, Virginia Beach, and Qatar. Having graduated from West Point with a degree in engineering and serving for over twenty years in the military, including teaching assignments at West Point and the National Defense University, Bill is well versed in joint military operations and Washington political intrigue. His graduate and post graduate studies at Duke University were all in language, literature, and values and helped prepare him for his work with the many university graduate programs and Fortune 500 Companies where he curently teaches leadership and Executive Development.
