About the Author
Spirit Messages to my Mother Gilda Mirós, prominent veteran of Latino radio in the Mirós has had leading roles in film, theatre and television in the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico. She produced, directed and narrated documentaries, including one during the Vietnam War, and she also produced the 65 anniversary concerts of the Sonora Matancera with Celia Cruz; in NYC's Ms. Mirós was awarded "The Medal of Our Lady of Miros launched her first book "Celia Cruz, The Sonora Matancera.” in July of 2003, "Portrait of Puerto Rico” in August of 2005. "Hortense and her Happy Duckling," a wash your hands bilingual children's book, in July of 2006. "Memorias de los Espíritus y Mi Madre” was released in October, 2008.
