Bow down your head
Saint Peter said
The Lord is coming your way
Why should I bow to him?
I said
Will he help me here today?
He gave me nothing only pain
I said
He gave me hell on earth
He's brought you to a better place
Saint Peter said
He's loved you since your birth
So bow your head
Saint Peter said
And tell him thanks for this
You can come inside
Saint Peter said
And have a life of bliss
I'll stand here and I'll look at him
I said
And let him justify my life
Why he took the one I loved away
I said
Why he took my beloved wife
She's at peace inside
Saint Peter said
She's waiting there for you
You only have to conform
Saint Peter said
And you can come in too
So I bowed my head
And done what he said
And the gates they opened wide
And my beautiful Angel call to me
Come in she said
And we walked again side by side

Poems from the Heart is exactly as I have named my book They are meant to make people happy that read them and bring back old memories that had been forgotton and locked away in the past. Hopefully the poems I have written flow's from my heart to your's when you read them. Tony Gorman
About the Author
I started writing my poems at a very sad time in my life after my beloved wife Geraldine died in April 2008 and not long after her death I was diagnosed with cancer. My poems were my memories of my happy times and my sad times in life. I started writing on a website called Cabra history and found I was enjoying writing and it helped me forget my illness as I laughed when writing some of the funny things I remembered doing when I was a boy.
I guess it really helped me get back on my feet again as I got the all clear of cancer just before Christmas 2009. I hope people enjoy my book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Tony Gorman
