Let me hold you tight
If only for one night
Just leave me with the satisfaction
That we gave this chemistry traction
As we mix an intoxicating potion
Of you, I, and this bottle of emotion
Your neck, becomes so inviting
Coupled with, supple hips
Under Harvest Moon lighting
And with the harvest comes the feast
You provide a mixture of love’s elixir
That soothes the savage beast
The good times keeps us going
The bad times makes us stronger

About the Author
Poetry and Spoken word are parts of the creative world of Brandan J. Stuckey. Stuckey’s journey is true and powerful. Hailing from Birmingham, AL, Stuckey honed his craft on numerous microphones in the Civil Rights Capital. One of the greatest strengths of Stuckey’s writing is his poetic development and his ability to transition seamlessly between each poem. "I serve a living King/So I'm something like a Fresh Prince/I am Legend and I don’t have to convince," is one of the many soulful quotables that you'll hear from him. He allows each poem to tell a story regarding each transformation in his life. Stuckey was inspired to become a poet after writing a piece for his high school black history month play. After a standing ovation from a crowded auditorium, he harnessed that energy and turned into a successful poetry career. Each piece will take the reader on an adventure and encourage a personal search for their own feelings of inspiration, triumph, relationship, victory, and spirituality.
