THE REMEMBERER He was very lonely, And so full of hate. Not a single bad memory, Did he negate.
Whether it something small, Or something very big. Whether theft at the mall, Or someone with a wig.
Someone who failed, Or someone who snitched. Either someone who bailed, Or someone who had ditched.
Whatever the instance. Whatever the crime. If it was negative, He remembered through time.
But then one day, He learned of a Son. He learned of His name, And what He had done.
His name is Jesus, The one Son of God. He died and was raised, And proved Himself no fraud.
So the man cried “Dear Jesus, Come into my heart, And save me from Hell; From You being apart.
I want to know You. I want You in my life. I'm tired of the pain, And tired of the strife.
I do need a purpose, A reason to live, And so this I say, My life to You I give."
Now he is different. Those memories gone. Daily replaced with new ones, From dusk until dawn.
He still remembers things, But only the good. Only the ones that matter. The ones that he should.
The best memory of all though, Is the day he changed. The day he was saved, And his life rearranged.

But if you know something that is worth dying for, think about it all the time, live in light of it, and you won't have to tell anyone at first, because people will see it through the way you live, and then when they ask you what you know that they don't, tell them. Tell them that “Jesus lives and loves everyone, including you!”

About the Book
It seems that it should go without saying that I want my book to sell a ton of copies. However, I must be perfectly honest. My goal for this book is simple and straight forward, and that is to reach as many souls with the Love of Christ as I can. Sure it would be great if I sold a million copies, but the money that I would make from doing so would not even begin to compare to the joy of reaching a million souls with the deep and overwhelming sense of peace and joy that my Lord has so graciously shown me through these past 22 years of being one of His earnest followers. I have great joy in being as “real” with everyone as I can be, so I will be real with you now. If you are going through a hard time, if you truly know what deep and genuine pain feels like, or even if you would simply like to enjoy some Christ centered, positive ending, easy to read poetry and assertions, then I assure you that you will not be disappointed in reading through this book. Trevor Ray Slone started writing poetry at the age of 14, expressing his thoughts about life and his faith. He continues to address major life topics, always including a statement of God's love, in his work today. Born in Savannah, GA, Trevor had the opportunity to travel extensively while growing up in a military family. With a passion for hiking, he continually finds beauty in God's creation. Trevor longs for the truth and strives to learn from every life experience. He is undoubtedly a considerate and true friend.
