About the Book

The need for spiritually gifted, enthusiastic, faithful, and obedient men and women who are completely sold out to Christ cannot be overstated. In these pages, Mitchell presents his incredible testimony of how God's redeeming grace has healed and delivered him from a life riddled with pain, guilt, depression, and loneliness. Regardless of one's background or past mistakes, God has forgiven them and has a place for them in His heart. Mitchell illustrates these points with examples from Scripture and through his own personal, intimate relationship with God. He writes how everyone has a calling on their life and now is the time to open their eyes and answer God's call.

About the Author

When A. A. Mitchell was around 10 years old, he and his family moved from Long Island, New York to Jackson, Mississippi. He made new friends and played various childhood games with the kids in the neighborhood. At the age of 14, however, those childhood games changed into street games: the use and sale of drugs and alcohol, gang fights, and petty theft. Soon after, he would drop out of high school and become a father-to-be.

So how and why did a smart, gifted child turn to a life of violence and crime at such a young age?

Having suffered through a very tumultuous and extremely difficult relationship with his father, A. A. Mitchell has now discovered the freedom to live victoriously by putting God first and receiving the love of Jesus Christ. By applying God's Word to every aspect of his life, A. A. has personally opened his own eyes to the calling God has placed on his life and now earnestly desires to help others. From his battle with his abusive childhood and personal drug abuse to the struggles of his incarceration, he speaks very candidly about his experiences so others can apply what God has taught him to their lives.
