The woman she became The woman she became Was a result of the life she lived She was a friend to many And adored by all that knew her she was a sister and a survivor She was a fighter Even when she could not fight anymore And though she cried often She would never let you see She laughed to hide her pain And when you got too close she pulled away She never complained because it causes a scene And she always thinks twice before she spoke The things she’s been through makes her depressed But she tries to function without thinking about it She never thought she was beautiful Even though her beauty mesmerized the room as she entered The scar left behind from what they did to her Destroyed her and ate her spirit alive She is no longer the person I used to know She has turned into the woman she became Solidified by circumstances
