About the Book

This is a book of a young lady and her journey through life. She had to deal with life and its struggles at an earlier age. Overcoming every obstacle that got in her way including abuse, sex, marriage and divorce. She put her Soul into this book with the hopes that her Journey can help save or change the next persons life in a positive way. She will take you on a Journey with her from birth to adulthood, so fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride. Christina Puglisi said on Jan 19, 2011 9:25 AM I read this book and I was hooked (couldn't put it down) right from the beginning! Latrice describes in great detail the real-life, emotional struggles of a young girl with ALOT of drama in her life. She also recounts the many hard lessons she learned and continues to learn as she matures. This book was very raw, honest, deep and extremely personal. I would highly recommend this book. Charles J. Brooks "Uncle" said on Jun 4, 2010 5:22 PM You are so precious to me, I am so happy that you are writing so that you can help others. Many of us really believe that the deeds done in this life is a secret, for some of us yes. In sharing you dreams, aspirations and stumbling blocks and some high walls that you sought strength to climb or knock down or remove stone by stone, has allowed you to be set free from the past, looking forward to the God adventures in this life, to attain eternal victory. Always Love

About the Author

Latrice Gleen is the next big thing in the Author world. A Buffalo native, born and raised on the East Side. Latrice has been writing stories since elementary school, her first story was called “Saprina and her child”, which focused on a teenager girl and her pregnancy. Her first poem that was recognized was a poem dedicated to a friend who was murdered. She wrote the poem and hung it up on the corner where her friend was killed and that poem was acknowledged on the News. After that she started writing short stories, and from there she decided to write a autobiography. There came a time in her life that she hit rock bottom and lost herself, and she felt the world was her enemy, This is what made her pick up her pen and paper and begin writing. Latrice is a survivor and will never stop striving to be the best she can be with hopes of helping the next person along the way, she just wants to be an inspiration in someones life. She believes that Life is what you make it. A woman who wears many hats, (licensed cosmetologist, school bus driver, author, and student) Latrice is currently in school working on her degree Liberal Arts/Social Science (c/o 2012). Her first love has always been children, her passion was to own her own child care center but now she wants to work with child protective services or foster care and adoption agencies. Latrice’s biggest accomplishment besides being a business owner with her sister is her self published debut novel titled “My Life’s Journey”. She put her soul into this book and she is planning to get involved in as many focus groups in high schools to talk with teenagers. “When I was growing up”, said Latrice, “it seemed like nobody really cared and I learned a lot on my own and in the streets, I want to give kids and adults a chance to learn through my life experiences”. She also says “No one is ever too old to learn”. The Sky is really the limit, no matter where you are raised, how you are raised or how many struggles you go through. You can be and do whatever you want to do if you believe in yourself and trust in God.
