She was hurt beyond recognition. She never knew that someone could treat a person so cold even when you are giving them your best.
What I am about to tell you is going to make you reach down in your past and analyze what went wrong in your own life. It will make you ask questions about who you really are and why you accept bull from others like you do. I had to reach down deep inside to find out why I was the way that I am. It was quite a surprise when I found out that the truth that I had been searching for was right there the whole time. I was looking the truth in the eye every day that I woke up. The truth was staring right back at me whenever I looked in the mirror. I guess you can say that it was a reflection of self. I have to admit that I often would not look in the mirror for fear of what I would see.
My mom grew up in a two-parent home with twelve siblings. She was the oldest girl, and she had an older brother who was more like a father to her than her own father. Her father was a mean alcoholic, who demanded that in his house, his way was the only way. There were no questions asked about anything. My grandmother was sweet, but a strict disciplinarian. Education was her focus for all of her children. She believed that with hard work and a positive attitude, you can accomplish anything in this world. I never met my grandmother. She died of complications of a stroke when I was two years old. I really wish I could have met her, because she could have given me the guidance that I needed when dealing with my life lessons. I miss her, simply because I did not get a chance to tell her I love her and that I would do my very best in whatever directions my paths may take me. She is sadly missed even more by her children.
