About the Book
Makandal’s Legacy is inspired by a Haitian legend. Francois Makandal fought a battle for freedom from the world of slavery in which he lived. We learn that he asked the voodoo spirits for a unique gift for his son – one that has impacted greatly upon the lives of others ever since.
Galdon is a frustrated accountant and an aspiring poet. He yearns for an escape from the normality of his day job. This he achieves, but at what cost?
Combining moments of chilling terror with a deliberation of the true meaning of good and evil, whilst questioning the rationale behind what we call religion, Makandal’s Legacy is an adventure into the unknown for all concerned.
Let this book serve as a lesson to all those who meddle in powers outside their control. Remember instead the words of McLeith: “The antichrist, the sharp toothed snake, is here amongst us, dressed as man.”
