About the Book
Michael Lear has spent most of his working life as a Chartered Surveyor, Estate Agent & Auctioneer involved in property matters in and around Oxford.
He has always enjoyed good food and cooking, and their associated pleasures, as a relaxation from life’s pressures. He describes himself as a jack of all trades but a master of none. He is a frustrated perfectionist. This is his first book and more than likely his last. Michael lives in the Cotswolds, near Chipping Norton.
This eclectic collection of recipes is quite simply the accumulation of his favourites from many years of enjoyable experience. There is definitely something here for everyone to get their teeth into.
Michael has a bit of a thing about ‘coffee table’ cookery books and their so often extravagent use of language and glossy photographs. Thus his book title of No Flummery.
