About the Book

The book contains a series of poems and lyrical stories sure to make anyone laugh and smile. The writings include everyday experiences, including a cat darting throughout the house leaving cat hairs everywhere; a child weighing the options of a bag lunch versus cafeteria food; a girl whose father is drying her hair while she tries not to be late for school; and a child prankster trying to write a required essay, explaining what he did over the summer. Additional poems include "Little Bit," a young tree waiting to grow and be like his mother and father; best friends Keiko and Stephie, one of whom lives on a farm; and much more!

About the Author

Dyora Kinsey is a product of the military community. As a military child, spouse, active-duty member and civil service worker, she has traveled and experienced many cultures. The up-and-coming author flourishes in a variety of atmospheres, finding laughter and familiarity with which to connect with people. A master’s degree in management/human relations and a teaching certificate help Dyora relate to people from preschool through college. These abilities enable her to write poetry appealing to young children and adults. One unforgettable and defining moment for this author involves a unique experience with the military, setting up a Head-Start-type program at a military base in Japan. The program centers on age-appropriate instruction in the development of preschool-age children with participative interaction of their parents. Lesson plans aim to produce a positive child assessment and follow-up to achieve maximum success in the classroom. All of her training and experiences culminate in her love for writing poetry. Communication and interaction with people is a definite plus for this writer.
